Are You Ready For GDPR?

GDPR is the new European data protection legislation that comes into force on 25th May 2018. However, regardless of Brexit, the UK Government is still committed to adopting the new standard by the same deadline.

Under this new legislation the responsibility for ensuring security of your customer data sits with your company, even if you have outsourced your IT function to a third party.

From 26th May 2018 a breach of data security could result in a fine of up to 4% of your previous year’s turnover or €20M.

Current interpretation of this legislation means that companies will have no grace period to implement their controls – you need to be planning now.
